----------World 1----------Stage ~1.1~Coin 1: About halfway through the level, there is a pipe followed by five blocks hovering in the air. The coin can be clearly seen just after these blocks; just jump for it.Coin 2: Just before the checkpoint flag comes up, there is a pipe that you can go down. At the end of the cavern, the coin is hovering above the pipe leading back to the surface. Jump on top of the pipe, and jump for the coin.Coin 3: About 3/4 of the way through the level, the coin can be seen under some blocks. As Big Mario or Flower Mario, ground-pound the blocks and drop down to get the coin.Stage ~1.2~Coin 1: Near the beginning of the level, the coin can be seen in an overhang. From the bridge before the over hang, jump to the set of blocks nearest to the bridge, then the next set of blocks, then to the overhang.Coin 2: Near the middle of the level, the coin can be seen under some blocks. As Big Mario or Flower Mario, ground-pound the blocks to get the coin.Coin 3: Near the end of the level, there is a seesaw type of thing, with rocks indicating the top of the level starting on the right side. Stand on the left side of the seesaw until the right side is pointed at about a 45 degree angle upwards, then run and jump so that you land above the top of the level on the right side. Run past the exit pipe and drop down to get the coin.Stage ~1.3~Coin 1: Early on in the level, there is a spinning thing that will launch you into the air. Jump from that, and fly to the right to get to another. Jump from that, and fly right to see a pink mushroom top. Landing on this mushroom will bounce you higher, allowing you to get the coin.Coin 2: From the first coin, fly downwards, following the trail of coins. They will lead you directly to the second coin. Alternatively, halfway through the level, jump to the second coin from the mushroom on the right.Coin 3: Just after the flag, jump at the coin when the rising and lowering mushroom reaches its peak.Stage ~1.T~Coin 1: 1/3 of the way through the level, run across the rising and lowering stone and grab the coin.Coin 2: At the checkpoint flag, there is a cannon pipe. Launch yourself out of this, then hold left to slide down the left wall. Press A to wall jump and enter the door. Get to the coin in this room somehow; my methods vary each time.Coin 3: Just before the checkpoint flag, blocks with spikes can be seen sliding back and forth. Make your way up through this area and grab the coin on the way by.Stage ~1.4~Coin 1: 1/4 of the way through the level, hit the ? block and grab the mini mushroom. Go back a few steps to see a tiny pipe; go down that. The coin is on the right side of this area.Coin 2: A bit more than halfway through the level, there is a large walled-in area with a red turtle before it. Step on the turtle, then grab it by holding the B button; throw its shell into the walled off area, then when it finished bouncing around, go down the pipe. Do not collect the coins; instead, hit the last block before the up pipe, then hit the P switch. Jump up the blocks and collect the coin.Coin 3: A bit more than 3/4 of the way through the level, the coin can be seen under an overhang. As little Mario, hold B and dash across the hole in the ground, then grab the coin.Stage ~1.5~Coin 1: Can be seen near the beginning of the level. Press A as you bounce off the mushroom to grab the coin.Coin 2: Near the first set of hanging platforms. Standing on the left platform for a bit will raise the right one; however, it is possible to just dash-jump and get the coin without bothering to raise the right platform. Make sure you do not accidentally break off the left platform as you stand on it, however.Coin 3: A pipe is above the right platform on the third set of hanging platforms. This one will require you to raise the right platform; stand on the left one briefly, then jump to the right one once it it raised enough. Hold Up to enter the pipe. Jump on the mushroom above all the others, and make sure you stay on it. Jump to get the coin once you get to it.Stage ~1.S~Coin 1: More than halfway through the level, the coin can be seen between two rising and lowering blocks with spikes. Wall jump up the two blocks to get the coin.Coin 2: Halfway between the checkpoint flag and the end, the coin is over what appears to be just lava. However, a platform will appear below it briefly as the block next to it reaches its lowest point. Jump and get the coin at this time.Coin 3: Near the end, there is a long rope. There is a pipe directly above the exact center of this rope. Jump and hold Up to enter the pipe. Grab the coin.Stage ~1.A~Coin 1: A third of the way through the level, just swim up and get the coin.Coin 2: Just after the first coin, swim up and enter the tube at the top. Jump up and get the coin.Coin 3: Near the end, either swin through the crack as little Mario and get the coin, or double back around the other side to get it as Big or Flower Mario.----------World 2----------Stage ~2.1~Coin 1: Near the beginning, just jump and get the coin.Coin 2: Near the halfway point, jump and get the coin when the rising and lowering platform with the cactus thing is at its peak.Coin 3: A bit after the checkpoint, jump down to the lower platform and get the coin.Stage ~2.2~Coin 1: About a quarter of the way through the level, a Lakitu should show up. Shoot it with a fireball and steal its cloud, then press up to rise to the top of the level. Fly right until you see the coin.Coin 2: Halfway through the level, the coin is under an overhang. Ground-pound the blocks and grab the coin.Coin 3: Halfway between the checkpoint and the end, there is a green cannon pipe. Hold Up as you shoot upwards to enter the yellow pipe at the top; shoot out of either green pipe in this new area to get the coin.Stage ~2.3~Coin 1: As you enter the level, before you go through the first stomp door, there is a path upwards. Walljump up to this higher area and grab the coin.Coin 2: In the area with the piranha plant, enter through the right flip-door and grab the coin.Coin 3: After the area with the giant piranha plant, head upwards. Head left and continue left past the small piranha plant. Jump upwards, then take the right path at the fork. Run off the edge of this path to land on a small platform to the right. Grab the coin.Stage ~2.4~Coin 1: A fifth of the way through the level, wall jump off the wall when the piranha plant isn't out and grab the coin.Coin 2: In the water area, swim under the ground on the right side, taking care not to go too low and drown. Go down the red pipe in the new area. Swim across and go up the next red pipe. Walk across the new area without hitting the switch and get the coin.Coin 3: Right near the end, between two rows of blocks. Just grab it.Stage ~2.T~Coin 1: At the bottom of the orbit of the fifth platform-moving thing, you can jump down onto the floor. Run to the right until you can grab the coin.Coin 2: At the top of the orbit of the fourth platform-moving thing, there is a way up visible on the left side. Jump over to there and walljump upwards to the door. Go through the door. Walljump continuously in the yellow-blocked thing until you get to a point where you can drop out. Quickly jump up the platforms until you can jump on top of the moving yellow-block thing. Jump for the coin from there.Coin 3: At the end of the level, before entering the final red pipe, hit the block to activate the rotating blocks. Backtrack to the left edge of the platform to find a third rotating block; jump on that to get up to a step on the left. Walljump off the left wall to get the coin. (For some reason, I had quite a bit of trouble with this method my second time; however, I can assure you that it works. Just retry until you jump high enough.) Alex (axel_rod44@sbcglobal.net) points out an easier way to get this coin: "On your guide for the star coin locations you left something out on world 2 tower. You have the location of the star correct, but there is a better way get it. Once you hit the block that brings up the revolving red blocks jump on to the second one and wall jump in between the wall and the red pipe untill you hit a other red block. Then jump on to the third revolving block and you'll see few more revolving blocks that make it way easier to get the block. This can all be done with any size mario (execpt mega mario) but it is easiest with tiny mario." After testing this method, it is indeed easier. Thanks, Alex!Stage ~2.5~Coin 1: Very close to the beginning of the level; stand on top of the bouncing thing with three blocks on top of it, and wait for it to jump. At the peak of its jump, jump off and grab the coin.Coin 2: After the checkpoint, there are many coins floating in the air. Do not collect them. After the second fire thing, there are three floating blocks. Hitting the middle one will make a P switch come out. Jump up on top of the blocks using the jumping thing as a launch pad, then hit the switch. Follow the blocks to the left to grab the coin.Coin 3: Fall into the sand waterfall right at the end before the yellow pipe. Keep jumping to stay afloat, and work your way right. You can jump out of the sand waterfall at the metal block. Exit to the right. Do not jump in this next area, as you may accidentally jump out of the area. Instead, fall down the blocks, eventually getting to the underground cavern. Jump on top of the jumping thing, and let him carry you to the coin. Jump to reach it if you have to.Stage ~2.6~Coin 1: A third of the way through the level, just jump and grab the coin. Jump from the rising platform if you need to, but it isn't necessary.Coin 2: Two thirds of the way through the level, just jump and grab the coin. Jump from the secondary platform if you need to, but it isn't necessary.Coin 3: Right near the end of the level, just jump and grab the coin. Jump from the platform with the piranha plant on it if you need to, but it isn't necessary.Stage ~2.S~Coin 1: A bit before halfway through the level, walljump up to the overhang where the coin can be seen, and dash to get past the rolling spiked ball. Grab the coin.Coin 2: Just after you get aboveground, the coin can be seen in an overhang. Hold A as you land on top of a bullet shot at you and you will be launched upwards; hold left to fall into the overhang.Coin 3: Near the end, use the rope above the HUGE spiked ball to jump onto the overhang with two ? blocks. The ? block on the right will yield a mini mushroom. As mini Mario, jump over the pit, then go through the staircase and grab the coin.Stage ~2.A~Coin 1: Near the beginning of the level, you can see the coin underneath the log. Backtrack a bit until you see a way down; just follow below the normal path until you can jump and get the coin.Coin 2: Halfway between the checkpoint and the end, the coin can be seen floating under a log. Launch upwards and fly below the log to grab the coin.Coin 3: Launch from the pad nearest to the pipes at the end, and spin down near the pipes, avoiding the logs. Land on the koopa to lauch yourself up, and enter the yellow pipe. Jump up and grab the coin.----------World 3----------Stage ~3.1~Coin 1: After the checkpoint, there are pipes blowing bubbles upwards. The second set of pipes is a red followed by two greens; enter the first green pipe (the middle pipe of the set) and swim across the cavern to get the coin.Coin 2: About two thirds of the way through the level, the coin can be seen at the top, between two bubble-blowing pipes. Swim up and get it, but beware the purple fish that will swim after you.Coin 3: About three quarters of the way through the level, there is a P switch. Hit the switch and immediately swim right; the coin is easily grabbable at this point.Stage ~3.2~Coin 1: Just after the checkpoint, go down the yellow pipe. Jump to reach the coin as the mushroom reaches its peak.Coin 2: After the checkpoint, continue across two sets of connected platforms; jumping off the second platform of the second set towards the right will have you land on the coin's platform.Coin 3: Near the end of the level, you will see the coin at the top of the screen. Launch off the Paratroopa (hold A while jumping on it) to get the coin. (You can also be able to get it just by jumping; this is just a bit more difficult.)Stage ~3.T~Coin 1: After shooting out of the middle cannon, drop back down to the lowest grating. Climb up the left side this time, to the platform at the top. Walljump off the left side to get the coin.Coin 2: Get to the front side of the grating through any door; the coin is clearly visible on the left side near the top of the first room.Coin 3: Break through the blocks on the right side of the first room and work your way to the top. Through the door is a switch and grating; hit the switch and climb to the top quickly, as the red blocks will eventually disappear. The coin is at the top of the room.Stage ~3.3~Coin 1: Halfway through the level, drop down near the switch that turns off the bubble-blowing pipes. The coin is directly to the left.Coin 2: In the area with seven pipes all in a row, go down the third one. This will open into a large cave area; the coin is all the way down and to the right.Coin 3: Near the exit pipe, head down past all the bubble-blowing pipes. The coin is at the bottom.Stage ~3.H~Coin 1: Near the second stair-raising switch, there is a door. Enter. The coin must be grabbed by launching off the back of a pumpkin-thing.Coin 2: Hit the second stair-raising switch, then climb the staircase. Jump left to the other staircase; climb it and fall down the other side. The coin is right there.Coin 3: After entering the door opened by the third stair-raising switch, jump to the left on top of the blocks. Then jump up the platforms until you see a lottery block. Jump when it highlights the shell. Then raise the stairs in this area. When you reach the top, dash holding B to slide using your shell. This will break the blocks at the top, allowing you to reach the coin.Stage ~3.S~Coin 1: A quarter of the way into the level, the coin can be seen below a platform. Drop down to get the coin, avoiding the spiked thing.Coin 2: When you see the rope near the big Thwomp, jump off to the left. Run left, and when you reach what seems to be a dead end, jump up and left to get on top of the level. Run left until you can drop down onto the coin.Coin 3: At the end of the level, go under the overhang as little Mario. Swim and jump onto the platform, then walljump to get the coin. This would be MUCH easier as mini Mario, but there is no spawn point in this level, so it is not required. However, it is indeed quite difficult as little Mario, and the checkpoint is a ways back, so I would suggest getting a mini mushroom from some other level (2-S perhaps) so that you can be mini here. navyinthemaroons@hotmail.com simplifies this method: "For the 3rd star coin on stage 3-S, you don't need to be little Mario, you can just do a dash-and-squat type thing, and you don't need to wall jump either, just hold the dash button while you jump and you'll get up there." Both true, and they should make it easier to get the coin without dying. Thanks, NITM! Connor (connor6c@gmail.com) also submitted this method, but was beaten to the punch by NITM by 4 days. Ouch.Stage ~3.A~Coin 1: Just after the checkpoint, dive underwater and let the spidery thing bust all the blocks for you, allowing you to swim to the coin.Coin 2: Two-thirds of the way through the level, the coin can be seen floating above a barrel. Launch off the Koopa's back and grab the coin.Coin 3: As mini Mario, go through the pipe four-fifths of the way through the level at the top of the screen. Run across the water and jump to get the coin. (There is a mini mushroom earlier in the level, underwater.)Stage ~3.B~Coin 1: Halfway through the level, at the big conglomeration of pipes, go down the red one in the middle that is very low on the screen. Head right, then go up the first red pipe you see. The coin is right above you.Coin 2: Right at the checkpoint, the coin can be seen in a boxed-in area at the top of the screen. Go back to the first pipe you can stand on top of before this box; walljump on the pipes to get above the red one. You should get into the box and get the coin.Coin 3: Easily seen, near the end; just drop down and get it, avoiding the piranha plants.Stage ~3.C~Coin 1: Seen a quarter of the way through the level, below some falling logs. Simply drop down and grab the coin.Coin 2: Seen under a log that does not fall, halfway through the level. Swim under the outcropping and grab the coin.Coin 3: Just after coin 2, halfway through the level, there is a P switch. Hit the switch and quickly run right; jump up into the red pipe. This will drop you down directly onto the coin.----------World 4----------Stage ~4.1~Coin 1: About one third of the way through the level, the coin can be seen floating above two spiders. Launch off the second spider to get the coin.Coin 2: Soon after the checkpoint, the coin can be seen floating above another spider. Launch off the spider to get the coin.Coin 3: Near the end of the level, the coin can be seen between two spiders and under a set of blocks. Kill one spider, then grab the coin, being careful not to stand on any one block for too long, as they will drop into the acid.Stage ~4.2~Coin 1: A bit more than a third of the way through the level, the coin can be seen above a block. Wall jumping off the wall to the left of the coin will put you high enough to get it.Coin 2: Just after the checkpoint, the second coin can be seen below a bendy mushroom. Slide down the side of the mushroom as it bends to get the coin, but be sure to jump off before you fall.Coin 3: Near the end, there will be and end to the mushrooms, and solid ground will pop up. There will be a block on the ground; do not hit it. Instead, go past the ground and jump back into the hollowed-out area underneath it. Jump into the block from underneath to activate a vine. Climb the vine and proceed, hitting another block to create another vine. Jump at the top to reach the coin.Stage ~4.3~Coin 1: One quarter of the way through the level, the coin can easily be seen under and outcropping. Swim quickly past the overhang and double back to get the coin.Coin 2: Just after the checkpoint, the coin is at the bottom of the screen. Drop down and get it.Coin 3: Two thirds of the way through the level, hit the ? switch at the top of the screen, then swim quickly down to the last green pipe at the bottom of the screen. The coin is in this area, easy to get.Stage ~4.T~Coin 1: Two-fifths of the way through the level, the coin is on the left, on the back of some grating. You will have to run to the left from the right past a rising and falling stone.Coin 2: Halfway through the level, the coin is above some grating on the right side surrounded by electric ball things. Just jump up and get it.Coin 3: Halfway between the checkpoint and the end, the coin is on the right side above a moving stone. Jump up and get it.Stage ~4.4~Coin 1: Two-fifths of the way through the level, the coin is visible below an overhang. Slide down the left wall and walljump into the hollowed-out area to grab the coin.Coin 2: Just after the checkpoint, there are two blocks and a way up. Walljump up through this area, then look left. There should be a caterpillar and two blocks in a lower area. The coin is up and to the left, at the very top of this area; it can be reached by running and jumping onto these two blocks, then jumping and walljumping to reach the coin. Ryan (TheVoidIncarnae on GameFAQs) notes an easier method: "Immediately to the left of the two blocks you mention, there is an invisible block that grows a vine when you hit it from below. Climb the vine up to easily reach the coin." Works perfectly. Thanks, Ryan!Coin 3: Halfway between the checkpoint and the end, the coin can be seen below a cliff. Slide down the cliff to get the coin, then walljump to safety.Stage ~4.H~Coin 1: Enter the first door you see and hit the ? switch. Stand on top of one of the blocks until it goes up. The resulting placement will put you directly to the left of the first coin.Coin 2: In the room where the red switch is all the way on the left and pushing it causes two long, tall pillars of red blocks to appear, walljump up these blocks into the area overhead. The coin is just overhead.Coin 3: As mini Mario, in the same room as Coin 2, jump on top of the pipe instead of into it; walljump off the pipe as high as you can jump, and land on the platform across the gap to the right. Walljump up this area and get the coin. (Becoming mini Mario is an issue in this case; I suggest getting the mini mushroom from stage 2-S and simply being mini all throughout this stage.)Stage ~4.5~Coin 1: Just after the checkpoint, the coin can be seen under some unbreakable blocks. Step on a bob-omb, then grab it with B and throw it as you would a koopa shell, so that it lands near the coin. Once the blast breaks the blocks, walk in and grab the coin.Coin 2: At the second drawbridge area, the coin can be seen at the top of the screen. Jump and hit the block below the bob-omb; it will explode and break the blocks underneath it, allowing you to jump up and grab the coin.Coin 3: About 3/4 of the way through the level, there will be a drawbridge and a pipe beneath it, and a pipe at the top with bob-ombs coming out. You must blast the blocks on top of the pipe below the drawbridge with a bob-omb, then go down the pipe. In the new area, blast your way through to the coin using the bob-ombs; there is no set pattern to follow.Stage ~4.6~Coin 1: About one quarter of the way through the level, there is a floating island of sorts. The coin is sitting right on top of this island.Coin 2: Just after the checkpoint, there is an island with a P switch. Hit this switch, then jump directly right to grab the coin.Coin 3: After a section of pipes with piranha plants, there is a red switch. Hit this switch by jumping off the Plesiosaur's head; jump then to the pipe to the right that the red blocks appeared under. Enter the pipe and proceed; the coin is just down the hill.Stage ~4.S~Coin 1: The third swinging platform leads to solid ground with an overhang; the coin lies on the overhang. Jump when the swinging platform reaches its peak to land on the overhang and get the coin.Coin 2: Almost halfway through the level is a huge Thwomp. Let him break all three layers of blocks, then drop down below him when he rises back up. The coin is down in this recessed area.Coin 3: Just after the checkpoint is a swinging platform with the coin under it. Drop off the platform when it is all the way to one side, collect the coin, then jump back on the platform.Stage ~4.A~Coin 1: Soon after the first checkpoint, the coin is visible above a movable platform. Simply jump up to get it.Coin 2: About halfway through the level, a vine can be seen barely hanging from the top of the screen. Launch from a Paratroopa to get there; then swing to the right and go into the pipe. Hit the P switch on top of the blocks in this new area, then drop down to collect the coin.Coin 3: Just before the pipe leading to the surface, there are three pipes that go into the acid: two green and a yellow. Drop down into the lowest green pipe. The coin is easy to see in this new area.----------World 5----------Stage ~5.1~Coin 1: Two-fifths of the way through the level, the coin can be seen high up near a tree. Jump from the ? block near the tree to reach the coin.Coin 2: Just after the checkpoint, the coin can be seen above a snow pit. Jump from the floating ? block or launch from the Paratroopa to get to the coin.Coin 3: Halfway between the checkpoint and the end, the coin can be seen near a snowball-throwing penguin. Hit the block below it 3 times to make it grow, then jump from the top of this pillar to get the coin.Stage ~5.2~Coin 1: In the section a quarter of the way through with many piranha plants, the coin is in an alcove above the path with blocks covering it. You must be Big Mario or Flower Mario to break the blocks, but it is otherwise easy to get.Coin 2: Just after the piranha plant section, a yellow pipe and a red pipe can be seen at the top of the screen. Walljump off the adjacent blocks and enter the yellow pipe. The coin is across the new area; you can walljump to get it.Coin 3: Almost halfway through, the coin can be seen high on the screen. Jump on the springpad to get high enough; just make sure you do not hit the shelled things.Stage ~5.T~Coin 1: Right near the beginning, this coin is impossible to miss. Just grab it as the elevator moves up.Coin 2: Again, impossible to miss. Halfway through the course, the elevator brings you right to it.Coin 3: Three-quarters of the way through, on the right side of the screen. Just about as impossible to miss as the previous two.Stage ~5.3~Coin 1: About one third of the way through the level, there is a floating bunch of ice blocks. Jump on top of this, then off the right side; the coin is readily visible.Coin 2: As Big or Flower Mario, find the point just after the checkpoint, but on the bottom level, where a little Mario could just fit beneath a huge cliff of ice. Run up to this point and crouch and slide so that you continue along in the tiny crevice. When you reach the end, break the blocks above you and grab the coin.Coin 3: Just after the checkpoint, down the slope, there is an assembly of blocks, with three on the bottom and one on the top. Hit the top block from underneath to create a vine. Climb this vine and continue along the ice islands. Near the end, there will be a trail of coins leading down into the ice. Slide down the right side of this trail, then wall jump to the left to get the coin.Stage ~5.H~Coin 1: When you come to a place where the boxing glove thing breaks through a 4-block high wall with a 2-block high wall right below it, let him go past, then stand behind him so he doubles back. He will break through the 2-block high wall for you. Stomp him or whatever at this point. Go down the stairs to the right and look up; there should be a way up. Walljump up this area until you get to the coin.Coin 2: Right after Coin 1, go out, up and right, then up and left. You should see a door up and to the left. Jump from the top part of the stairs to this door. Go in, and immediately jump up to the coin and then exit to avoid the boxing glove things. To get up there, you must jump to the top of the first set of blocks, then walljump off the third set the get high enough.Coin 3: Continue up and right from Coin 2, then go up and left. Three blocks should be hanging horizontally in midair. Jump on top of them, then jump up again to reveal three more blocks. Get up to the second set, go to the middle block, crouch, and jump while crouching. This will activate a vine. Follow the vine up and enter the door. Wait for the elevator to drop out from under you faster than you fall, then make your way to the right side of the shaft. As the elevator rockets up, keep pushing right until you fall into a recessed area. The coin is all the way over to the right.Stage ~5.4~Coin 1: Halfway through the map, there is an overhang with the coin on it; jump from the nearest mushroom to get to it.Coin 2: If you are mini Mario, you can simply proceed through the crack next to Coin 1; if not, you will have to circle around and dash back to get it before it goes offscreen. navyinthemaroons@hotmail.com shows an easier method: "On stage 5-4, you can still get the coin when it's offscreen by shooting the koopa shell in that direction." There is indeed a Koopa right after the coin, and this method is quicker and easier than running back for it. Thanks, NITM!Coin 3: Halfway between the checkpoint and the end, the coin is below a small platform. The best way to get the coin is to jump quickly from the platform above it to the mushroom to the left of it, then to the coin itself without allowing the mushroom to rise.Stage ~5.S~Coin 1: About one sixth of the way through the map, the coin is visible on a platform near the bottom of the screen. The best way to get it is to wait for the piranha plant to settle, then shoot it with a fireball, then jump down and get the coin. However, it is also possible to run and grab the coin before the piranha plant gets there, escaping to the right.Coin 2: Halfway through the level, the coin can be seen in an overhang. Wait for a spring pad to come along down the conveyor belt, then launch yourself up onto the overhang and grab the coin.Coin 3: Halfway between the checkpoint and the end, there is a ? block with a break in the ice above it. From the slightly higher ground to the right, jump onto this block, then jump up on top of the level, using a wall jump for the final push. This is difficult, but possible; if you are having excessive difficulty, it is easier as mini Mario. Run to the right and drop down to get the coin.Stage ~5.A~Coin 1: Just after the checkpoint, look down for another mushroom to jump to. Go there, and jump to get the coin.Coin 2: A third of the way between the checkpoint and the end, there is a lone block just sitting in midair. Hit it from below to create a vine. Climb up the vine, then hit the P switch and launch from the spinner. Land on the blocks and jump for the coin.Coin 3: Near the end, the coin is visible below the mushrooms. Just drop down to the mushroom below them carefully to get the coin.Stage ~5.B~Coin 1: Halfway through the level, there is a coin below an overhang. Go past the overhang, then double back to grab the coin.Coin 2: The coin can be seen right after the checkpoint; however, you must go to the end of the row to find how to get up. A P switch is present at the right end of the row; hit the switch, then carefully but quickly make your way left to get the coin.Coin 3: Near the end, when you reach a fork, go down; the coin is at the bottom of this "staircase".Stage ~5.C~Coin 1: At the second boxing glove guy, jump over him and head back the way he came; do not kill him. As he follows you, he will break into the box where the coin is held. You can then easily go grab the coin.Coin 2: Halfway through the level, at the rising and falling platforms, there is an overhang after the falling platforms. Get off the platform below the overhang, and immediately stomp on the shell that slides at you, then grab it with B. Throw the shell off the side of the ground towards the coin, and the coin will activate as if you had hit it. COIN GET!Coin 3: This one took me ages to find. Right after the checkpoint, a boxing glove guy will come down a set of "stairs" after you. Fireball or stomp him. Then jump up onto the set of four blocks above you. Destroy the fourth block ON THE TOP OF THE LEVEL from the break at left. Then hit the last block on the set of four you're standing on from underneath. This will create a vine that you should now climb. Beware of the boxing glove guy; stay above him. Once you're on the same platform as the P switch, wait for him to go to your right, then hit the switch. Run left as fast as you can, and wait for him to follow and destroy the blocks. Now you can fireball him or whatever and grab the coin.----------World 6----------Stage ~6.1~Coin 1: A third of the way through the level, just after the whole first section of ledges, there is a section that you can jump to up hanging from what seems like nothing. From here you can jump up the wall and walljump to get the coin.Coin 2: Right at the checkpoint, if you look left and up, there is a hollowed- out area above you. Jump there, and the coin is visible.Coin 3: Near the end, drop down below the ledge to grab the coin. Simple.Stage ~6.2~Coin 1: About one fifth of the way into the level, there is a ? block with a palm tree in the background to its right. One square to the right of and three or four squares above this block is a secret block; it is just above water level, so you can bump it out that way. Just to the right of that block is another secret block, this one with a vine. Climb the vine and hit the block for a P switch. Jump carefully but quickly across the floating ? blocks, then across the blocks and finally get the coin.Coin 2: Halfway through the level, the coin is readily visible at the top of a cavern. Just jump up and grab it when the water level goes up.Coin 3: Past the checkpoint, the coin is visible under an overhang. Being careful of the numerous spiny guys, double back under the overhang and grab the coin.Stage ~6.T~Coin 1: A quarter of the way up the tower, the coin is all the way to the left in the path of a spiky pillar. Run to get it, then crouch down in the recess underneath for safety.Coin 2: Near the top of the tower, the coin is unmissable. It is at the left in the path of a spiky pillar; jump up to the top level to safety, then drop back down to get it once the pillar has receded.Coin 3: Right before the door, there is a Dry Bones; stomp him, then run and leap from the platform with the door on it to the opposite wall. Continue walljumping back and forth between the two walls (this may take a while) until you get up to the new platform. Even if it doesn't look like you're making any headway on the jumping, you are, just very little each time. Once you get to the new platform, enter the pipe. Jump quickly to the center platform and crouch so that the pillars don't hit you. Jump to the coin, then back to the center platform and crouch. Jump back to the pipe and you're safe.Stage ~6.3~Coin 1: Right at the beginning, jump on top of the bouncing ? block, wait for it to carry you upwards, then jump for the coin.Coin 2: In the section with all the pipes, go down the second green one from the left. The coin is right there.Coin 3: After the second cavern, there should be a spinning ? block with spikes on one side; activate it, then go to the right of it. You will need to run left, jump onto it, and then jump off it, all while dashing, to get the right momentum to carry you over the large green pipe. Once you get over it, just jump for the coin.Stage ~6.4~Coin 1: Right at the beginning, after passing the first fire swirl, walljump to the cavity above you; the coin is right up here.Coin 2: Two thirds of the way through the level, the coin is simply on a floating island just before the checkpoint. Jump over to the left from the checkpoint and grab it.Coin 3: When at the huge series of ledges, after going through the pipe after the checkpoint, go as far up as possible, then through the pipe; the coin is at the far right of this cavern.Stage ~6.T2~Coin 1: One quarter of the way through the level, the coin is all the way to the right, up against some spikes.Coin 2: Halfway between the checkpoint and the end, the coin is in the middle of a complex floating island. As Big or Flower Mario, ride the conveyor belt to the blocks, then smash them. Jump up and grab the coin.Coin 3: Just below the door to the end, the coin is at the opposite end of a rope. Just climb over and get it.Stage ~6.5~Coin 1: One fifth of the way through the level, the coin is clearly visible right at the top. Just beware of the green fish that appear as you get it.Coin 2: Halfway between the checkpoint and the end, go up the yellow pipe at the top of the screen. The coin is visible in this room; just beware of the 6 or 7 green fish.Coin 3: Near the end, when you see a whirlpool with blocks surrounding its base, allow yourself to be sucked in. The coin is right in this new area.Stage ~6.6~Coin 1: Way over to the left near the top of the first area lies the coin. Spin down through the long pillar of blocks next to it to reveal a P switch; hit this switch and go collect the coin.Coin 2: On top of the chain chomp's post at the very left-top of the field; spin up to the platform, then grab it, trying to avoid the chain chomp. No tricks here.Coin 3: At the bottom right of the area past the checkpoint, get on the spinner at the bottom left. This will allow you to fly to the spinner in the center via the huge block in the center. Pop out of the center spinner and land on the paratroopa; this will launch you up into the P switch. Now, still spinning, land on the koopa on the ground; this will launch you up so that you can enter the green pipe that you normally wouldn't be able to reach. In the new area, spin up, then slide down the pipes, starting with the right, but switching to the left via wall jump when necessary. The star coin is along the left pipe.Stage ~6.S~Coin 1: A third of the way through the level, the coin is over lava, and appears to be unreachable, but you can grab a koopa shell and throw it at the coin to get it. Quite simple.Coin 2: Halfway through the level, the coin is in a three-sided box; drop down onto the moving platform and let it take you to the coin.Coin 3: Right after the checkpoint, there is a segment with two paths: one on the bottom, with little other than a moving platform and lava; and one on the top, with a moving platform and a koopa. Right after these paths are two vertical stone pillars that smash together. You must run along the top path, timing your jumps so that you land on top of the top crushing stone pillar. Run across the top of the level and drop down into the recess to get the coin.Stage ~6.A~Coin 1: Launch out of the first cyclone and fly right. The coin is right there.Coin 2: This one took me ages to figure out as well. Just below the first coin and a bit to the right, about a quarter of the way into the level, there is a sand waterfall. It is very skinny; about 2 blocks wide. Let yourself be sucked into this. Slide down the left wall of this new area and simply walljump up to the coin.Coin 3: A bit more than halfway between the checkpoint and the end, there is a set of pipes. One set, green and yellow, is set lower than the others. Go down this yellow pipe. In the new area, jump over the giant piranha plant, and grab the coin as you go by.Stage ~6.B~Coin 1: About a fifth of the way into the level, the coin is clearly visible below a moving pole. Get at the end of the pole and swing it back and forth as you reach the bottom of the pole's orbit. Eventually, with the correct timing, you should reach the coin. An alternative and easier way to get this coin, as suggested by stylishalastor@yahoo.com: "Hi, I'm using your FAQ on GameFAQs to help me in my New Super Mario Bros. game, and in World 6-B I was trying to get coin 1, and I noticed you could throw the red koopa shel downl on the slope down at the coin, and it would get it a lot easier. Thought you might want to add that to your FAQ, Thanks." This is indeed much more simple. Thanks, SA! Super Espio also found this method and sent it to me a mere 20 hours and 21 minutes after SA's came in. I believe this calls for... MOOOOORTAAAAAL KOOOOOMBAAAAAAT!!Coin 2: Two-fifths of the way into the level, after shooting out of a cannon, the coin should be visible up and to the left. Launch off the back of the oh-so-conveniently-placed paratroopa to get to the coin.Coin 3: Near the end, there are two circular-orbit moving poles next to each other. On the second one, swing up and right as far as possible, then jump off onto the overhang. Crouch immediately to slide under the crag and grab the coin.----------World 7----------Stage ~7.1~Coin 1: If you stay on the second moving platform past the dropoff point, it doubles back, allowing you to jump up and get the coin.Coin 2: In the area about a third of the way through where there are quite a few moving platforms, a winged ? block will fly by. Jump on top of it without activiating it. It will carry you to a new pipe. Enter. Follow the moving poles upwards, and at the top there is the coin.Coin 3: Past the checkpoint, jumping on the top moving platform will bring you directly past the second coin. Just jump up and grab it.Stage ~7.H~Coin 1: Enter the mid-left door of the five; the coin is right above the wavy pool of goo.Coin 2: Enter the top door of the five; Stomp down on the left side of the goo multiple times to reach the coin.Coin 3: Enter the bottom right door of five, hit where the hands are pointing, flip the switch, and climb up to the next room. Hit the P switch above your head, then run right as fast as possible. You must get up to the second tier at the right side. Run right from there, and grab the coin at the end of the area.Stage ~7.2~Coin 1: A quarter of the way in on the right side of the screen. You must be Big Mario or Flower Mario to break the blocks; otherwise unmissable.Coin 2: About two-thirds of the way up; throw a koopa shell into the cage on the left side, and it will work its way down to the coin on the right side.Coin 3: Near the top; work left, avoiding the paratroopas, then grab the coin. Work right immediately to make it out in time.Stage ~7.3~Coin 1: A third of the way into the level, the coin can be seen above a platform at the top of the screen with a boomerang guy on it. Dash and jump to get up there, then grab the coin.Coin 2: Near to the end, the coin can be seen on a platform near the top of the screen. Dash and jump or launch yourself from a paratroopa to get up there, then grab the coin.Coin 3: Right at the end, after you go through the end pipe, there is a staircase of blocks going down. Ground-pound the first block to make a vine appear, then pound the second block to get to it. Climb down. From here, just jump to the right to get the coin.Stage ~7.T~Coin 1: Soon after you enter the first red pipe, the coin can be seen sitting in an alcove. Go up above it and simply drop down onto it.Coin 2: Halfway between the checkpoint and the end, the coin can be seen in an alcove on the right side of the screen. Drop from stone pillar to stone pillar until you get over there.Coin 3: The coin can be seen directly to the right of the exit door. Just jump over and grab it when all the blocks recede.Stage ~7.4~Coin 1: At the beginning, run all the way to the right and spin off the rightmost spinner. The coin is directly above you; just spin up again and fly over to get it.Coin 2: The coin can be seen on a mushroom to the right about a quarter of the way through the level. Just fly over and get it.Coin 3: Soon after the checkpoint, near the top of the area, the coin can be seen floating in midair. Spin and bounce off the pink mushroom to get it.Stage ~7.5~Coin 1: One fifth of the way into the level, the coin can be seen at the top of the screen. Go past its box, then launch yourself from a bullet to reach the coin.Coin 2: As mini Mario, find the tiny pipe leading down about a third of the way through the level. Stomp a bob-omb and kick it at the block covering the pipe to clear the way. Go down the pipe. The coin can be seen directly to the right of where you come down. However, you can't get to it yet. Over to the right there is a ? block that yields a mega mushroom; take it and become Giant Mario. Walk over to the left, and push the pipe blocking the coin over to the right. Drop down and get the coin.Coin 3: The coin can be seen near the end of the level between two bullet shooting guys. Just drop down and grab it.Stage ~7.6~Coin 1: Just after the checkpoint, there are two rows of blocks. Break the middle block in the top row, then hit the middle block in the bottom row from underneath to activate a vine. Climb up the vine and jump on the mushroom. It will carry you to the coin; just jump up and grab it.Coin 2: Soon after the checkpoint, the coin can be seen in an alcove. Drop down below it, then jump up into the area to get it.Coin 3: A third of the way between the checkpoint and the end, there is a yellow pipe next to a green pipe. Go down the yellow pipe, and launch across the three paratroopas to the right. Go up the red pipe and the coin is right there.Stage ~7.7~Coin 1: On the first rotating platform, the coin is near the bottom. Just wait at the end of the movement to dip down to the coin, then jump off.Coin 2: Halfway through the level, the coin is below some falling blocks. Stand on one of the blocks and wait for it to fall down to the coin, then jump back up.Coin 3: Just after the checkpoint, the coin can be seen up and to the left. Jump from the top of the "pyramid" of falling blocks at get to it.Stage ~7.S~Coin 1: A quarter of the way through the level, the coin can be seen above and to the left of the orbit of the green blocks. Jump from the green blocks to get the coin, then hold left to land back on the blocks.Coin 2: Down at the bottom of the screen a bit past the checkpoint. Drop down onto it as the green blocks move left, then jump back up onto the green blocks as they move back to the right.Coin 3: Right near the end. As the green blocks fall at the end, fall with the last one until you can jump off and grab the coin as you go by.Stage ~7.A~Coin 1: In the first area inside, there is a row of purple blocks. Go below and to the right of these blocks and jump up to activate a row of three secret blocks. Now jump up onto the purple blocks and enter the pipe to the right. The coin is right there.Coin 2: In the second "area", there is a cannon on the right sidethat will shoot you straight up. As you begin to fall back down, slide down the right wall. Walljump to the left when you see an opening in the pipe on the left, then enter the pipe from below. You will be deposited next to the coin.Coin 3: Halfway between the checkpoint and the end, there is a ? block that yields a mini mushroom. Grab it to become mini Mario, then go all the way left. Walljump up the tiny crevice all the way to the left between two pipes and you will see a mini pipe. Enter. The coin is directly to your right.----------World 8----------Stage ~8.1~Coin 1: A bit before halfway through, a ? block is visible near the bottom of the screen with two regular blocks below it. Activate the ? block from below to create a spring pad. Grab the pad and bring it to the two regular blocks further right. Jump off it there to get the coin.Coin 2: Halfway between the checkpoint and the end, the coin is clearly visible at the top of the screen. Launch off a bullet to get to it.Coin 3: Right near the end, the coin is visible at the bottom of the screen. Simply drop down to get it, avoiding the giant bullet.Stage ~8.2~Coin 1: About halfway through, where you are stomping through blocks, stay to the right on the third set of blocks. Stomping through the fifth row from the right will have you land directly on the coin.Coin 2: Just after the checkpoint, hit the ? switch to make the water rise, and the coin is at the top of this chamber. You will have to launch off one of the bomb-dropping spiders to get up to it.Coin 3: Just before the end, there is an area where a ? switch will raise the water level, and there are two ways up, separated by a long stone pillar hanging from the ceiling. Go up the right path; the coin is at the top.Stage ~8.T~Coin 1: Right at the beginning, stay to the left and go up. The coin is right in an alcove that you can easily jump to.Coin 2: Just before the checkpoint, as little Mario, go to the left, avoiding the spiky guys, and work your way through the crevice between the stones. Jump up to get the coin.Coin 3: Above the door and a bit to the left are two secret blocks. Hit them to activate them, then launch from the back of one of the Dry Bones onto the blocks. Jump for the coin from there. You may also use the winged ? block to get up there if necessary.Stage ~8.3~Coin 1: About two-thirds of the way through the level, the coin can be seen right at the bottom of the screen. No tricks here; just drop down and grab it.Coin 2: Just after coin 1, about 3/4 of the way through the level, the coin is easily seen at the top of the screen. You must be Big or Flower Mario to break the blocks, but other than that, an easy coin.Coin 3: Right near the end of the level, the coin can be seen at the bottom of the screen under some blocks. Just double back and grab it.Stage ~8.4~Coin 1: One third of the way into the level, the coin can be seen in a cutout at the top of the screen. Run and jump from the ? blocks to the left to make it up there.Coin 2: One third of the way between the checkpoint and the end, the coin can be seen above a floating platform. Run and jump on the platform, then jump immediately without losing momentum to get the coin.Coin 3: Right near the end, there is a tiny pipe. You will need to work your way all the way through the level as mini Mario to go down this pipe. Once down there (patience is a virtue...) you'll be able to see the coin. Go all the way right and you'll see an opening near the top; at this point, you'll have to wait for every goomba to get near you so you can stomp it, or else you'll die trying to get across. Once all three goombas are gone, you can run across and grab the coin. Chances are, time is running low, so evacuate quickly.Stage ~8.S~Coin 1: You can see the coin at the top of the screen right near the beginning; go past it, then hit the red block on the next platform. This will spawn a moving platform at the top of the screen that will take you directly back to the coin.Coin 2: About a third of the way through the level, at the place with three lines showing the movement of the moving platforms, the coin can be seen on the lowest level. Hit the red block once to make the platform be on the highest level, then simply ride it down to the coin.Coin 3: Halfway through, right after the second coin, make sure that the moving platform you are about to jump on is on the BOTTOM level. Proceed as you normally would, but now when you reach the end there will be a new moving platform. Drop onto it, crouching as necessary. Jump onto the spinning rectangles; although it looks like there are only two, a third will appear when they are on end vertically. Jump to get the coin.Stage ~8.5~Coin 1: One quarter of the way through the level, the coin can be seen below the platform on an unstable rock. Jump down, grab it, jump back up.Coin 2: Two-thirds of the way through the level, the coin can be seen near the bottom of the screen hanging over lava. Throw a koopa shell at it to collect it.Coin 3: Right near the end, the coin is at the top of the screen. Run and jump from the highest unstable rock to grab it.Stage ~8.6~Coin 1: Right near the beginning; when the coin is visible, go into the pipe near it; the pipe will shoot you into the area (although you may need to cross over the sides of the screen once to get there). Easy to grab once you're there.Coin 2: Nearly halfway up, the coin is visible in a box below some blocks. Spin up and drill down on the blocks to break them, then grab the coin.Coin 3: Two-thirds of the way up, the coin is on the right side of the bottom of the final cannon pipe. Easy to grab.Stage ~8.7~Coin 1: One sixth of the way through the level, the coin is visible under a bridge of sorts with a hammer-throwing guy. Go past him, then double back and drop down. Dash across the blocks by holding B to get the coin.Coin 2: Two-thirds of the way through, the coin is easily visible on the boomerang guy's platform. Just grab it once he's out of the way.Coin 3: Three-fifths of the way through, the coin is, again, easily visible between two rows of breakable blocks. Ground-pound the blocks to get the coin; just make sure you do not break the second row by accident, or you will DIE BWAHAHAHA.Stage ~8.8~Coin 1: Just as the level begins, the coin is visible at the top of the screen. Go past it, jump on the set of four breakable blocks, then jump back and run across to the left to get the coin.Coin 2: This coin requires a mini mushroom; I suggest getting the one from 7-A, as it is the easiest to get without dying in my opinion. Go through the level until you reach the checkpoint; just after that, there should be three sets of two breakable blocks set into the ground. Wait for the flying debris to break the blocks on the middle section, then drop into the pipe underneath them. Work your way through the maze; short of full directions, I can tell you that I started somewhat to the left and went to the leftmost bank of coins, then worked my way right to the star coin. Once you get the coin, just head out of the area.Coin 3: A quarter of the way between the checkpoint and the end, the coin is clearly visible in the center of the screen. Just wait for the debris to smash the blocks around it, and you can jump up and get it.Stage ~8.T2~Coin 1: A quarter of the way through the level, the coin is right above you as you ride the green blocks; just jump to get it.Coin 2: A bit more than halfway through, the coin is visible on an overhang; jump up to the overhang as you reach it and grab the coin.Coin 3: Four-fifths of the way through, the coin is over on the left where a spiky ball busted out. Jump over to get it, then quickly jump back. Easy, as long as you go quickly.Stage ~8.W~Coin 1: After the second time through the room with all the fire jets, as you enter the room with the mini thwomps, you can see the coin right above you. Ignore it for now. As you get past the three mini thwomps, jump back and run left to get it. Alternatively, you can go to the top left once you have flipped the room, and slip past the mini-thwomp to get the coin. I find the second way to be a bit easier, but either way gets the job done. Coin 2: If you flipped the switch on the left side of the flamejet room the second time around a while back, now's your chance to make good on it. Jump on the rising and falling platform and jump to the other door on the far left. The coin is under the overhang all the way to the right.Coin 3: After making it through the endless loop of buzzes and dings (after the checkpoint, if you don't know what I'm talking about), the coin is quite visible in an alcove at the bottom of the screen. Bust the blocks as Big or Flower Mario, then jump up to the platform on the right. Dash back to the left, and as you near the box, crouch to slide under. Stand up and grab the final coin. CONGRATULATION!
